Information trip to meet potential partner institutions within the framework of the Hospital Partnerships Project. The purpose of the visit is to explore opportunities for future cooperation and identify potential joint projects in the healthcare sector. The travel costs are covered by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) under the funding program “Hospital Partnerships – Partners Strengthen Health.”

As part of our efforts to support the sustainability of Syria’s healthcare system, the Wiederaufbaukanäle Syrien (Reconstruction Channels for Syria) initiative, in coordination with local and international partners, is inviting doctors to volunteer for a medical exploratory delegation to Syria. This marks the first step in launching a long-term Syrian-German hospital twinning project, supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The hospital twinning project is a strategic initiative aiming to establish institutional and sustainable health partnerships between hospitals in Syria and Germany. It enables international collaboration in medical training, hospital management, and health research.
Delegation Objectives
- Visit hospitals and health centers across several Syrian provinces to assess the medical and service landscape.
- Identify equipment and medical supply needs.
- Observe clinical workflows to detect and help prevent medical errors.
- Evaluate logistical and operational conditions for staff and healthcare infrastructure.
- Participate in medical procedures and treatments within existing specialties to assess healthcare quality firsthand.
- Provide analysis and advisory recommendations to improve care delivery and operational systems.
- Produce daily reports for the Wiederaufbaukanäle Syrien initiative and BMZ.

We do not need ambulances because the missions are planned to operate internally. If emergency personnel are available, they will be integrated into the existing emergency teams.
